She earned her doctorate of osteopathic medicine in 2011, and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, in 2015.

Dr. Whitmore provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care. Committed to excellence, Dr. Whitmore enjoys educating patients on all aspects of preventative care, and encourages an open dialogue about any questions or concerns a woman may have. She looks at the whole person, and emphasizes helping each patient achieve a high level of wellness by focusing on health promotion and disease prevention. This approach to patient care integrates the patient into the healthcare process as a partner.

In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Whitmore finds volunteering and community service to be a valuable way to reach out to those less fortunate. She stays abreast of current medical developments, and furthers her own education by attending obstetrics and gynecology conferences and continuing education courses. Of special interest is the annual American College of Obstetrics Gynecology Conference and the American Academy of Gynecologic Laparoscopists comprehensive workshop. Prior to becoming a doctor, Dr. Whitmore was a secondary education teacher in biological and earth sciences. During her medical education, she leveraged her love of teaching by accepting a teaching assistant position in osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Whitmore’s interests include international travel, languages, tennis, and running.
