Dr. Nye is a board-certified physician with over 20 years of experience in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology, including stints as a volunteer physician in third-world countries. Committed to acceptance and encouragement of diversity, Dr. Nye stresses state-of-the-art medical care. Her standards are high. She remains up-to-date on current medical developments and issues. She emphasizes patient education and information, and encourages patients to take an active role in their medical care and treatment options. Dr. Nye provides obstetrical and gynecologic services, including preventative gynecological care and surgical intervention, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, as well as other gynecologic surgery. She also instructs medical students, nursing students, and resident physicians in clinical obstetrics and gynecology.
After traveling the world, Dr. Nye settled in Chicago with her daughter to be close to her family and to practice at two top-ranked teaching hospitals. Dr. Nye says her favorite part of the practice of medicine is getting to know her patients and building doctor-patient relationships which last over time and emphasize mutual respect. Her patients say of her, “She is always supportive—never judgmental,” “I feel cared about,” “She answers my questions and tells me what I need to know,” and “I know I can count on Dr. Nye.”
