At Nye Partners, Our Women’s Health Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist has expertise in assessing and treating patients with a variety of diagnoses that affect the entire pelvic region. Symptoms such as urinary leakage with coughing, laughing, sneezing, or running, as well as not being able to get to the bathroom in time, are commonly treated by our Physical Therapist.

Patients are referred to Pelvic Floor Therapy because they have one or more of the following problems:

Disorders of the Bladder

• Urinary stress incontinence (cough, sneeze, run, jump, etc.)
• Urinary urge incontinence (can’t get to the bathroom in time)

Pelvic Pain/Dysfunction

• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles after having a baby)
• Pudendal neuralgia
• Vulvodynia, vaginismus
• Endometriosis pain syndrome

Sexual Dysfunction

• Dyspareunia (pain with intercourse)

Musculoskeletal Disorders

• Low back pain
• Hip, knee, ankle pain
• Sacroiliac pain
• Coccyx (tailbone) pain
• Abdominal scar pain
